Love this book. It is amazing. Don't watch the movie first, the movie really sucks. Come on, we're English, and we don't have ipods or cell phones.
Before Harry Potter there was Will Stanton. I have loved this series now for 30 years!
DON'T SEE THE MOVIE! This is one of the best and most evocative children's fantasy series ever. If you have kids you should have these books.
This is by far, one of my most favorite books, and series. I've been re-reading it for years! The stupid movie "based" on this book could never compare. The imagery I have in my head while reading this book could never be replicated. It is about the eternal struggle of light against dark (good vs evil), but I find it so compelling each time I read it! It never gets old.
I loved this book when i was young, but never got around to reading the rest of the series. can't wait to read them to my children.
I really enjoyed this book, it was something totally different that captured me from the first page. You really can identify and empathize with the characters in this book. The story is amazing and I'm excited for the whole series.
in the series by cooper this volume and 'the grey king' were my favorites. a great fantasy series for young adults.
