book versus movie

What did you all think of the movie??
I thought it was great, but I'm not sure if it was because I liked the book so much that I wanted more and the movie kind of filled that emptyness.....

I definitely enjoyed the movie! It was very satifying to see the characters come to life and kind of sum everything up.
I'm not so sure if I can say I enjoyed watching the movie as much as I enjoyed reading the book. There were obviously a lot of things that got left out but for what they did put in there, I thought it was a pretty good portrayal.

Surprisingly, I dug the movie more. Something about the visual tone and the music - fleshed out the frightening story more than the book could for me.

the movie leaves way too much good detail out...read the book!

I think having seen the movie first, I really did enjoy that, but the book was laugh out loud funny. To the point that i'd get strange looks on the train. The doctors wife stole the show for me in the film.

personally the book was better for me. watching the movie i was dissapointed - it seemed so much more depressing than it did in my mind. not only that but also it wasnt complete in my eyes.

I saw the movie before I read the book and enjoyed it... to a point. After reading the book I found the movie lacking, both in storyline emphasis, and tone. As per the usual, the book was infinitely better than the movie.

The book was absolutely amazing!!! I got about 1 hour into the movie if that and couldnt do it because it just moved slow. The book was just SO much better.

it's rare for a me that a film does a book justice. I found this to be the case here. Very poor in my view but a great book.

The book was definitely better than the movie...although the movie did have a really great cast.
