Instead of Bella becoming a vampire could Edward somehow find a way to become mortal and both of them grow old together?? I just can't see how Meyer could write the final book about Bella thirsting for blood.

I haven't even thought of that! That could happen. I don't think Meyer would want an unhappy ending.

I think that she should leave edward and go with jacob, but after she's already a vampire. so it would be like instinct versus true love. it would be a way easy way to keep the series going.

I don't think Edward will become mortal, but there's no way I can see Bella lusting after blood, either, especially since it's been emphasized so incredibly much how much she hates the smell of it (smell, not sight is emphasized, in the beginning of book 1, which I don't have on hand to refer to a page number).

I think it would be amazing if Edward became mortal (cuz then he could be mine! no just kidding) but that would make Bella's life way to simple, and we all know that that wont happen at least to bella. And I don't think the pack would let jake and bella be together if she was a vap so i don't know, maybe the last fight could have shown the warewolves that the cullens really aren't all that bad so they'll except bells... idk. I just hope meyer makes breaking dawn as good as the rest =-)

I think Bella adores/is obsessed with Edward more than she loves him. Now, I love this series as much as the next person, but I think that Bella just needs to disentangle herself from all things vampire and werewolf, leave Forks for good, and start leading a normal life, free from all things supernatural. At the end of the first book, I will admit, I was all "Bite her, Edward! Bite her!", but as the series progressed, I saw more and more of Edward's flaws, and I think Bella can do and certainly deserves better. And at any rate, do high school romances really succeed upon graduation, anyway?

okay. by the end of eclipse i had come to dislike bella. we could tell all along that she was in love with jacob and jacob with her. honestly, i want bella to be with edward but she doesn't deserve him. through out the twilight series he never did a thing to hurt her intentionally but it seems that's all she did to him. even though throughout the whole novel i wanted him to bite her im glad he didn't. i just hope that meyers isn't planning on having jacob show up and stop the wedding. but im glad meyers gave it a twist. it would have gotten boring without it.

Ok, so whoa, this is not a Nora Robert's novel... there is no way for edward to be turned back into a mortal. there's no goddess or potion or magic or anything. He's stuck. And of course she has to change. Meyers has been building up to it from the middle of Twilight, she can't back down now. There is no hope for Jacob. I think in his wanderings he will imprint on someone. In his quest to forget Bella... he will. I am wondering about timing because what else could possibly go wrong in Bella's life at this point?? Where is the conflict going to come from??

The conflict, in my opinion, will come from Tanya's family. That's the only thing I could think of. And Meyer has already said will not and cannot imprint on Bella. I agree with you on that, and on the fact that Edward can't become mortal. Nice in theory, but just doesn't work.

I think there are going to be three major things in the last novel. 1)We are finally going to meet the Denali clan(the quote of the days on Meyer's website had a quote from Tanya, so you know that's going to happen). 2)I think the Volturi are going to somehow use Charlie or Renee to get to Bella. Not sure how that's going to go down, but I just think it's going to happen. 3)I think Jacob is going to die. I don't really want that to happen(even though I don't really like Jacob), but I think he will die trying to protect Bella.
