I adore this collection. This has some of his greatest shorts ever, such as "A Sound of Thunder" and "The Fog Horn"--if it only had "The Veldt", I wouldn't need any other collection.
I read this story in highschool english class in the 70's. The concept of an alternate reality (like The Allegory of the Cave AND Horton Hears a Who) and how a simple moment in time can change everything has stuck with me. These original giants of scifi (Bradbury, Asimov, Heinlein) rock.
I love this book. but I am weak when it comes to science fiction/ historical fiction.
Unfortunately the movie of the same title did not even come close to doing this book justice......
