reallywishseries wasnt over ireally enjoyed all of them .now i dont know what would compare?
I was 11 when the first movie came out (Harry was 11).
I was 17 when the seventh book came out (Harry was 17).
I bought the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh book on the day they came out.
It's very weird to know that there's not another book coming. Every time I finished one, I would reread the whole series to that point and think "It's okay, there will be another one in two years or so."
Thankfully, the seventh book was astronomically well-written, a perfect climax and closing to the story. I didn't mind the epilogue much, it was a bit cheesy, but what more is expected? Harry's been through so much, and it was great to know that he ended well.
Many people were upset about the epilogue and felt that J.K could have done without it, but I actually wanted more, LOL! Harry suffered so much in his young life (orphaned, abused, several murder attempts, etc.) and even though I was mourning the end it really made me feel good to read that he and his friends persevered and could finally enjoy life without fear and apprehension hovering over them.
I also grew up reading the books. I was 11 when I read the first one and 19 when the last one came out. I've read them all probably 10 times. I just can't get over how beautiful the world that Rowling created is. She thought of EVERYTHING. She truly created every solution for every little detail in these books. I even took a class on them at OSU. lol. People can say what they want about them, but they truly saved literature in this generation. Now a days, kids would rather play a video game than read a book. And for the first time in forever, people were truly excited to read. She did that, whether or not people appreciate the story. I loved the epilogue. It was just enough of an afterthought. It wrapped up the story nicely because it wasn't overly sappy, but like someone else said, I still want more. I want to know what happened to the rest of the characters, and hopefully she will end up giving us that encyclopedia I've been hearing about.
