The first Kingsolver novel I read. It started a feeding frenzy of her books. I LOVE her writing.
This is a read I couldn't put down. Very powerful writing so engrossed in this i wanted to shake the father until his teeth rattled.
So intricate and exciting and touching. I felt like I was there half the time. Definitely one of my favorite books.
CanNOT get into this book. Someone, PLEASE tell me it gets better....after page 150!
One of my absolute favorites. The characters are incredibly shadowy and deep. The story kept me riveted for days.
Absolutely loved this book. One of my favorites. Esp good to read as a mother, though anyone would like it.
even though I read this book several years ago, it has stayed with me for various reasons. About an American family adjusting to life in the congo, it is told from various points of view. It is long, but I sailed through it once I began it!
