A fabulous conclusion to a perfect series! Tolkien was the master of fantasy and I love rereading these occasionally. One of top 10.
I'm amazed how J.R.R. Tolkien creates the story. Vivid characters, lots of depth and touches the heart.
The wrap up of the Lord of the Rings Triology. This book *hurts* in so many ways but is so, so beautiful in so many others. Epic conclusion to an Epic Trilogy. An absolute must read. [insert further mad ravings about how great Tolkien is]
I finished the trilogy when I was 13 and I still have them in the box they came in. At 13, I cried from happiness when one of the characters re-appeared... and you know who I'm talking about! That has never happened since and god knows I've read a lot more books. Amazing stuff.
The best of the three because of its climactic nature. Talkien is a genius and worthy of being copied.
Oh yeah, great, wonderful, as told, the whole series is great! On a side note, has anyone besides me thoroughly read and enjoyed the entire appendices???
