If you like "Shawn of the Dead," you may like "Fido." It's a Canadian flick that came out a couple years ago and it is wonderful...it's another humorous take on zombies and MY favorite zombie movie.
Yes, "Shawn of the Dead" is one of my favorite zombie flicks. Possibly my number 1.
28 Days Later
I know that TECHNICALLY the zombies of 28 Days Later aren't really zombies...but aside from that, I think this is one of the best besides the classic Romero Dead films. It's such an affecting character study...and it's chilling to the bone.
Zombie, City of the Living Dead, The Beyond, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead (not remakes), Omega Man, Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Dead-Alive, Evil Dead 1&2, Return of the Living dead 3
So much to choose from here. The classic Romero is more character-study/social commentary than action flick, which attracts me....Sean of the Dead was of course a riot...28 Days was visually stimulating and exciting....But I'd love to see a long-form campaign against the Zombies, something like the battle of the bronx in WWZ...big army vs. Zombie hoard. That'd be cool.
Omega man and I am Legend...didn't even think to include those two, but they're great films! Should have included those on the list.
Shaun of the Dead is definitely my favorite but I haven't seen many.
I watched that, 28 days later, and read this book over a 1 month period, largely by chance. For weeks after I would always wonder what I would do in a given place if zombies attacked :D.
Yeah I mean come on they were only based on the same source material that inspired George to create his version of zombies which now ate people and the book was only the first zombie novel . .. . . . . and fuck Shaun of the Dead, what the fuck is wrong with you people ? ?
Forgot about Living Dead at Manchester Morgue, We're going to Eat you, Cemetery Man, and Re-Animator . ..
