BBC made this into a series. I actually liked it just as much as the book.
I love all of Pullman's books and have read all of the US releases. This series is a fun one.

A really fun "penny dreadful"! Great descriptions of Victorian London. Good mystery.
Good. Much better than the ugly BBC version (not unusual as regards BBC versions); The very kind of book you read from cover to cover (not unusual as regards Pullman's works).
