City Of The Dead

This book is orgasmic. It's the riveting direct sequel to "The Rising" and hits every note perfectly. I give this 5 out of 5 hairy balls.

A total let down compared to the first-but worth a read for fans of The Rising.

Amazing, zombies became scary again.

I hated this book. It is not zombie fiction as I thought. Didn't realize it was a sequel but it doesn't really matter. Bad writing, pointless character development. Bad attempts to gross/shock the reader. I could go on but what's the point.

I reluctantly read this book after the crap-tacular ending of The Rising, and I must admit Keene redeems himself with the ending to this one! The writing gets redundant in some chapters, but innovative storytelling at key points really make this worth a read if you're into the post-apocalyptic zombie survival genre.

Decent.

Blew chunks. Really shitty book that only hardcore zombie fans would like. Poorly written, terrible characters, and only goes for shock value. Don't waste your time

If you liked The Rising this sequel starts where it left off, it is just as fast paced and I would highly recommend it.

A great follow up to 'The Rising'. A very fun and exciting novel.
