Quote-leftHolly looses her husband Gerry to a brain tumor. Holly is devastated. Holly gets letters from Gerry to open each month to help her in the first year without him. The letters are instructions to her to do various tasks that result in sometimes hilarious adventures.

The author wrote the book when she was 21, the book is not perfect. But for what it is, the book is very good.

I did not like the movie at all and was not expecting a very good book. But the book a VERY different from the movie. The book is much better than the movie. Give the book a shot. I am glad I did!Quote-right

Quote-leftSuch a good book! Way different from the movie, I didn't like the movie at all. Definitely a tear jerker!Quote-right

Quote-leftI couldn't stop crying and smiling thru all pages.
What her husband did is very dramatical, but the ending of the story is not so dramatical. That's not bad at all, rather realistic. Expect other view of the story and ending in the theather. I still can't imagine Hilary as her role though...Quote-right
