The Shining by Stephen King

The Shining

Stephen King

The Overlook Hotel is more than just a home-away-from-home for the Torrance family. For Jack, Wendy, and their young son, Danny, it is a place where past horrors come to life. And where those gifted with the shining do battle with the darkest evils. Stephen King's classic thriller is one of the most powerfully imagined novels of our time.

Quote-leftI love how the there powerfully images that you get form the book and how you see what happing to the family. this is one of King best work. I didn't want to put it down it was so amazingly done and really well writen.I really can't wait till I see the moive now I want to see if it holds up to the book. I really like how he bring the hedge animals to life it was so creepy and the dead people too. The Hotel was was very creepy to know that i was slowly taking them over in to it's powers. I really really like this bookQuote-right

Quote-leftOne of the most scariest books I have ever read. It gave me chills in places. I was scared but I couldn't put it down.
The parts with the hedge animals was so creepy! I has bad dreams about that bit. It's just a shame that most people have seen the film before reading the book, because you can't imagine anyone else other that Nicholson in the book.
Brilliant reading! :)Quote-right

Quote-leftone of the best books of all time, oh kubrick how could you mess up like that...again.Quote-right

Quote-leftThe book is so much better than the Jack Nicholson movie. However, how can you read the book and not think of Jack's creepy face poking through that door.Quote-right

Quote-leftThis is probably another one of my favorites. I love how King takes ordinary places and makes them terrifying. Anytime I see a dim lit, long hallway in a hotel, I think of this book.Quote-right
